MiniTec GmbH & Co. KG, an international machine and plant manufacturer with its own profile system, has taken over Schulz Fördertechnik GmbH in Waldmohr. This opens up new opportunities in the field of conveyor systems as well as access to attractive markets. All employees of Schulz Fördertechnik have been taken on. New prospects are opening up for them in the MiniTec group of companies. The colleagues at the parent company are looking forward to the reinforcement and a good working relationship.
Schulz Fördertechnik GmbH has been active in the field of conveyor components and systems for almost 30 years. The Waldmohr-based company focuses on the supply and assembly of conveyor belts and the construction of customized conveyor systems with steel and stainless steel frames.
MiniTec was approached a good year ago as part of the search for a suitable company successor. After a thorough comparison of Schulz's range of services with its own portfolio, MiniTec's management decided to respond positively to the request and take over Schulz Fördertechnik GmbH on January 1, 2024.
There were several reasons for this step. Schulz has also been supplying customers from the food and pharmaceutical sectors for many years - industries that MiniTec has only been able to serve to a limited extent due to the special hygiene requirements, according to Managing Director Sandra Geyer-Altenkirch:
"Stainless steel is better suited to this environment than aluminum. This is why we are expanding our range of industries to include extremely interesting target groups through this acquisition."
However, she also sees important synergy effects for MiniTec products and solutions in the field of conveyor technology in general: "Schulz's spectrum ranges from conveyor belts of all kinds to chain conveyors, small conveyors, modular belt conveyors, belt conveyors, belt conveyors and roller conveyors through to hinged belt conveyors. We clearly benefit from the many years of know-how we have acquired here. Conversely, we can contribute our expertise in the field of automation."
In addition to the advantages for plant engineering, MiniTec also has interesting prospects in the product and service sector. For example, conveyor belts in a wide variety of designs can be produced and installed at short notice according to customer specifications thanks to the extensive stock.
The company name "Schulz Fördertechnik GmbH" and its headquarters at Industriestrasse 34 in 66914 Waldmohr will remain unchanged until further notice. The long-standing Managing Director Wolfgang Wasemann will also retain this role and share the management with Sandra Geyer-Altenkirch as Co-Managing Director.
He sees the fact that he and his company are now part of MiniTec as an ideal solution: "MiniTec offers the best prospects for our customers and employees with its expertise, its range of services and its internationality." Sandra Geyer-Altenkirch adds: "The takeover of Schulz Fördertechnik opens up significantly expanded opportunities for MiniTec in the product and solutions sector as well as access to new markets. We are looking forward to the new colleagues and a successful future together!"
